“If you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.”
President Trump is claiming Attorney General Jeff Sessions should not have recused himself from the Russian investigations, and is therefore not loyal to him. Now Trump wants to destroy his most loyal supporter.
“I find your lack of faith disturbing.”
Aside from the Russian investigations, Jeff Sessions has become the ideal U.S. Attorney General preferred by Trump during the election when promising to “make American safe again” by giving more powers and weapons to police, comparable to building a Death Star to use against We The People to silence any opposition and protests.
Jeff Sessions is better connected in the political world with significantly more support than Trump. So if Trump strikes down Sessions, then the supporters of Sessions might strike down Trump. Problem is, Trump does not have the ability to back off even when it is in his best interest to do so.
