Facebook has just during the past hour started to block me from posting Comments and Likes at Facebook. Facebook is again demanding I provide my phone number or credit card number to verify my ID. Facebook previously demanded the same over a year ago when I previously used Facebook. I was assured that if I provided my phone number it would be used only to verify my ID. I provided it. Facebook published it in the public access part of my Facebook profile without informing me and without me realizing it happened . . . until I suddenly started getting hundreds of spam calls and spam text messages. It was still a few days until I discovered the source of the problem, when I happened to see it displayed at my Facebook profile – the part viewable by the general public. I removed it, but by then it was already in the hands of many sources of spam. I had to have the number changed. I was so angry then that I left Facebook. After over a year, I decided to give Facebook another chance, and returned on 1 April 2014. No problems since then, until today. Facebook began blocking me from using Comments and Likes. Facebook again wants my phone number, or credit card number, to verify my ID. Bullshit. To hell with Facebook. Facebook can’t be trusted with that information. I’d hate to think what would happen if I were to provide Facebook with my credit card number – actually a debit card. What a nightmare that could be! Therefore, I’m again leaving Facebook, this time permanently. Facebook is the leader in privacy and security violations, and is the leader in creating new ways to violate privacy and security.

And there’s this…
