Once upon another timeline, 40 thousand years ago, the first Santa Clause arrived on Earth. His sled was a wake-drive starship. It looked more like a surfboard than a sled, surfing the slipfield waves in the realm of buffer-space between the physical universe and the spiritual universe. It really wasn’t his starship, belonging to the Mercatorians of the Interstar Trading Worlds, an empire of interstellar merchants engaging in peaceful trade. He was just one member of an expedition to the planet that would eventually become known as Earth.

Upon arrival, the explorers established what became known as the “Garden at the Base of the Stars” on a peninsula protruding from the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea. The neighboring human inhabitants believed the explorers to be gods from the stars.

The explorers found Neanderthals in conflict with Cro-Magnons for food and other limited resources, especially during winter months and an increasingly colder climate each year.

Hortus Vita of the Salvator family was a Landor from the planet Langenth, sent on the expedition as an agriculture research scientist. Find out what from Langenth and other inhabited Interstar Trading Worlds can be grown on the new world, and what from that world could be consumed by them and grown on the worlds of the Mercatorians.

Hortus became aware of the conflict between Cro-Magnons and Neanderthals, their struggle for survival in an increasingly hostile climate. The resources of the garden base were limited. He could only help one side to survive. He chose the Cro-Magnons. The Neanderthals were driven out of the area, venturing north, vanished, and eventually became extinct.

The first delivery of food and general supplies as aid to the Cro-Magnons happened during the night of the Winter Solstice about a year after the arrival of the aliens. Those deliveries were made by Hortus using a kind of sled that could also fly.

Hortus never returned to his home world. He died on Earth, but his alien soul was reincarnated into Earth human life instead of ascending into the spiritual heaven. His choice, petitioning the Most Highs for continued service on Earth. Granted. To this day, his spirit still inspires humans to help those in need.

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2017 and a Happy New Year!
