With significant differences between this speech and his campaign speeches, as well as in contrast with the legal battle to block Muslims of some countries from entering the United States, Trump will try to speak about radical Islam without offending the good Muslims of 50 countries attending, to try to unite them against radical Islam as allies of the United States and other countries fighting radical Islam and related terrorism.
As this unfolds, North Korea has increased its threat by launching another ballistic missile last night.
Also, I’ve noticed Fox News is the first of mainstream news media, and before any politicians on either side have complained, to claim Robert Mueller should recuse himself as Special Counsel because of his long and close relationship with James Comey. Further, Politico has jumped in to claim, “Robert Mueller could face one significant issue with his appointment as special counsel to lead the Justice Department’s investigation into ties between Russia and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign: The law firm he’s worked at since 2014 has represented several prominent players in Trump’s bid for the White House.” So it is not Democrats or Republicans pushing back, but the mainstream news media, even after Democrats and Republicans have praised Mueller as an excellent choice for the job.
