My first Gluten-Free Pancakes!

Breakfast for Breakfast! Breakfast for lunch! Breakfast for dinner! Breakfast for midnight snack! This could be a hint. Breakfast is good anytime – or rather meaning food normally thought of and served for breakfast – rather than the meal that breaks the fast – long gap between evening meal and morning meal. Such as eggs, bacon or sausage, and hash browns.

So on a gluten-free diet, I’ve been buying gluten-free food. I bought a box of Betty Crocker Bisquick Gluten Free Pancake & Baking Mix. It’s been a long time since I actually made pancakes. I usually buy already made heat and serve for quick and easy. So, 1 cup mix, 1 cup milk, 1 tablespoon veg oil – but I used Blue Bonnet as an ingredient and to coat the pan and to top the pancakes with syrup. Final item added to mix is one egg.

Heated pan. Cooked. Consumed. Came together fairly well.

I’m most surprised by the excellent flavor. Usually specialty foods don’t taste as good as normal foods, but so far all gluten-free I’ve tried have good flavor.

Also, the price is going down as an increasing number of people are diagnosed with Celiac Disease, then on gluten-free diet, so stores are stalking and selling more – helping to reduce the price.

Someone should tell zombies on The Walking Dead to try gluten-free. Might fix their hanging out intestines problem.
