Ready? Set. Snow!

Light snow began falling here in Norman Oklahoma about 3:45pm CT, about 1 to 3 hours ahead of main band of snow coming in from west. First snow this winter 2016-2017 in Norman. Snow should only fall for 1 to 3 hours here in Norman from the main band of snow and then move out of area. Accumulation uncertain – perhaps an inch.

Rain, freezing drizzle, sleet, and ice has been taken out of forecast for this evening’s event. Snow is not the main event this weekend. Strong wind gusting over 30 mph with low temperatures producing sub-zero wind chills is the danger…
