My number one favorite Star Trek episode of all time is: The City on the Edge of Forever. It involves time travel, a time paradox, and alternate history. I consider it to be the most dramatic and most serious of all Star Trek stories, with some romance, involving life and death decisions and issues. I also consider it to be one of the best science fiction stories ever told, and it is written by science fiction master storyteller Harlan Ellison. What it does to Kirk touches the soul.
