Declared 2016 Democrat Presidential Candidates [Up to 24 July 2015]

The Mainstream News Media and Wikipedia only recognize 5, but there are a total of 17 so far.

List according to Mainstream News Media and Wikipedia, a total of 5:

  1. Lincoln Chafee – Governor of Rhode Island 2011–2015; U.S. Senator from Rhode Island 1999–2007.
  2. Hillary Clinton – U.S. Secretary of State 2009–2013; U.S. Senator from New York 2001–2009; presidential candidate in 2008; First Lady of the United States 1993–2001.
  3. Martin O’Malley – Governor of Maryland 2007–2015; Mayor of Baltimore 1999–2007.
  4. Bernie Sanders – U.S. Senator from Vermont since 2007; U.S. Representative 1991–2007; Mayor of Burlington 1981–1989.
  5. Jim Webb – U.S. Senator from Virginia 2007–2013; U.S. Secretary of the Navy 1987–1988.
