Remembering 1968-1970 ABC TV series Here Come the Brides

Back then, this was one of my favorites. I especially liked Candace “Candy” Pruitt played by Bridget Hanley, and Aaron Stempel played by Star Trek’s Mark Lenard.

Seattle sung by Bobby Sherman, with scenes from the 1968-1970 TV series Here Come the Brides

Seattle lyrics…

The bluest skies you’ve ever seen in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green in Seattle
Like a beautiful child growing up free and wild
Full of hopes and full of fears
Full of laughter full of tears
Full of dreams to last the years in Seattle
In Seattle
When it’s time to leave your home and your loved ones
It’s the hardest thing a boy can ever do
And you pray that you will find
Someone warm and sweet and kind
But you’re not sure what’s waiting there for you
The bluest skies you’ve ever seen in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green in Seattle
Like a beautiful child growing up free and wild
Full of hopes and full of fears
Full of laughter full of tears
Full of dreams to last the years in Seattle
In Seattle
When you find your own true love
You will know it
By her smile, by the look in her eye
Scent of pine trees in the air
Never knew a day so fair
It makes you feel so good
That you could cry
The bluest skies you’ve ever seen in Seattle
And the hills the greenest green in Seattle
Like a beautiful child growing up free and wild
Full of hopes and full of fears
Full of laughter full of tears
Full of dreams to last the years in Seattle
In Seattle

Opening credits and song

Yes, it was one of my favorite TV shows way back then when I was age 12 in 1968 to age 14 in 1970.

Primary Cast

1 Bridget Hanley

Yes, Bridget Hanley was my favorite. By the way, there was a girl in my 7th grade English class, her desk next to mine, who looked like Bridget Hanley’s face and hair. No wonder I couldn’t concentrate on classwork!

Mark L HCTB

Mark Lenard as Aaron Stempel

Sarek

Hey! Something familiar about that guy. Must be the ears!

Hey Jim! Thanks for this! I too enjoyed this series back in the era when this was on TV. Still remember watching the very first episode. I didn’t have a girlfriend that looked like Candy, but I had one ( still talk to her to this day!) that had the same personality and manner or speech! Even SHE admitted this. Anyway thanks again!!
